Insurance Options

I am proud to accept Aetna insurance in Maryland, Massachusetts, and Texas. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you might be eligible for up to 80% reimbursement on allowable charges. To ensure you are effectively maximizing your benefits, I recommend calling your insurance provider to ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits?

  • What is the coverage limit per therapy session?

  • What is my deductible status?

  • How many therapy sessions am I covered for each year?

Upon request, I will provide a monthly Superbill via email, detailing all the necessary information for reimbursement - perfect for those with out-of-network benefits. Many clients opt to pay out of pocket for their sessions to maintain privacy and autonomy over their care, as using insurance requires a diagnosis that could limit privacy and dictate treatment length.

Payment

For your convenience, I require a credit or health savings card to be securely stored for session fees, as well as for no-show and late cancellation charges.

Cancellation Policy

Your time is valuable, and so is mine. If you cannot attend a scheduled appointment, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance via phone or the client portal. Otherwise, a full session fee will apply for no-shows or late cancellations, as insurance does not cover these situations. However, fees may be waived for medical emergencies with appropriate documentation.

Good Faith Estimate

In compliance with the law, I will provide you with a “Good Faith Estimate” detailing the expected costs of services if not using insurance. Additional services such as intensives or psychological assessments may be recommended during your treatment and will be scheduled separately with your consent. Please note that the Good Faith Estimate is not a binding contract and does not require you to accept any listed services. You can dispute this estimate if your bill exceeds $400. For further information on your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
